The "Peter Sellers Appreciation Society" (PSAS) was formed in the beginning of 2000 by Maxine Ventham. PSAS strives to promote, protect, remember and revere, Peter Sellers' name and work by joining together fans from all over the world. PSAS activities include meetings of the members, updates on Peter Sellers happenings, a quarterly

magazine exclusively for members and retrospective screenings. What's more, PSAS is happy and available to provide education and information on Peter Sellers to media.

PSAS honorary members include friends and relatives of Peter Sellers.

During its existence, PSAS was associated with events such as the Special Peter Sellers Evening at BAFTA (on the 20th anniversary of his death), the 1st European screening of the documentary film "The Unknown Peter Sellers", the instigation and co-organization

of the Peter Sellers Retrospective at the Athens International Film Festival (2000) in conjunction with Sinema magazine. In May 2004, PSAS held an exclusive screening or Sellers rarest films, "Insomnia Is Good For You" & "Death Of A Salesman". PSAS has also helped in finding film prints for the Sellers' retrospective at the Cardiff Screen Festival (November 2004).
